Our Isdell Global Leaders group is heading back to Atlanta today from Texas. It has been an amazing learning experience for all. Studying water in a desert is one of the best ways to understand its importance, its power, its value and its beauty. It didn’t hurt to be in one of the most amazing National Parks either. Big Bend is stunning. Here are a few shots from our final adventures.
Ballard, Lettes, Ross, Rogers, Howard and Anderson on top of Casa Grande. We climbed about 1,500 feet in about an hour and a half with no trail and over some of the toughest terrain. An incredible feeling to get to the top!
View from Casa Grande with The Window in the distance.
We walked up to find the water supply for The Basin area. It’s just below The Window, and the water is sourced from springs and held in this tank then pumped up over The Window into The Basin.

Climbing up to a cave in Boquillas Canyon.
