We made it! Rafting down the Nantahala River yesterday was a blast!
After we arrived to the Blue Ridge Assembly we ate dinner and then we listened to a great Southern folk storyteller.
We had some fun in the gym waiting out the rain until our night hike. Students and chaperones followed Blue Ridge Assembly counselors into the woods without their flashlights! We trained our eyes to see in the dark, hear night noises, and we even had a mint to see a spark! There were a few other activities we did in the dark, so be sure to ask your students about it!
Today we are off to try the ropes course, hear about Birds of Prey, participate in Heritage Craft activities and the counselors at Blue Ridge Assembly are taking several students through a Team Development Challenge, which is directly related to our Pace Middle School Vital Signs!
Tonight we will have a square dance followed by s’mores!
It should be a good time!
