We explored the national park today with our guide Javier. We spotted two different types of monkeys – White Faced Capuchins and Howler monkeys. We also saw sloths and iguanas, and learned about some of the insects and plants within the park.
The White Faced Capuchins were in the low hanging branches of the trees at the edge of the white sand beach. We were told that they often swing down and make off with people’s belongings when they aren’t looking. Fortunately, Javier stayed with our backpacks while we enjoyed the ocean.
It was a beautiful day to be at the beach. Tomorrow we go white water rafting!
